Lace and Leather

ok, so ironically, this is the song that I ended my day with on tuesday.
see how i love my music? LOL

Monday was a really awesome day. The morning started with me having to pick up blood work slip at my doctors at 8 am (if you know me, you know I AM NOT a morning person, whatsoever), a meeting with Sean's teacher, the staff at his school, and Seans BSC, MT, and coordinator. Then I had to work 10-6.
I got everywhere on time, everything went smoothly. I even had time to pick up my signature drink from Panera (the barista knows what I want before I walk in LOL) chai latte, double shot of espresso, and some chocolate for good measure. YUM, quick delivery of caffeine =D

Work was awesome. I love my job. I had such a good day. I even took to facebook to say how wonderful it was, about how I hit the ground running LOL

Tuesday, on the other hand, was supposed to continue the amazingness, but ended up just being crazy. (after the initial confusion, it ended well)

I was extremely excited to go to this mommy-blogger event at Olly Shoes in Collegeville. I put it into my GPS, and it sent me to Plymouth Meeting Mall. WHY I didn't realize this? I'm not sure. But I hate the 76, known as the schuykill aka the "sure kill". I actually usually don't know it, but its never been this bad before! ugh. Thats how we get to CHOP for all of Meghan's appointments.
Anyway, wrong place. I needed to be in Collegeville. I wish someone would have said "at the intersection of 422 and 29" because um, yeah. That would have been much easier. My GPS (aka my phone. stupid droid) took me all these back roads, and was telling me to drive down roads that didn't exist. At one point, it had me in someones driveway with "Your destination is on the left." o.O Yeah, no. I was not pleased. I called the store and the person on the other line was helpful, but I was kinda beyond help lost LOL

So, an hour and a half later... I'm at this place LOL I was able to meet the owner and CEO of Olly, and FINALLY met @joeyfortman (Joey's blog can be found here.) and a few different shoe reps. I was able to share my love of the tsukihoshi brand with their rep. Seriously, Meghan has had hers for 2 years. They were the only shoes that fit her with the SMOs, and then they still as her feet grew because we had the insoles out (umm i think the dog ate them?). They lasted us a long time. And still look great. Just throw them in the regular wash mashine and voila. They wash wonderfully.
I bought her and Sean a pair. Hers are brown and pink, Seans are blue and silver. This makes me happy! The saleswoman at this Olly was so incredible. As was the whole event. We had such a great time!

Then we headed off to best buy to pick up the Sarah Moulton cookbook that my mother had won at the last mommy blogger event in June. (Yes, we've been crazy busy) and to visit my friends who work there. Of course, Meghan kinda got sick on the floor :\ but it was an easy cleanup. They had a blood drive, and there seemed to be a good turnout. I wanted to donate, but I didn't have the time, nor did I have anyone to watch Meghan. So we went to KOP Mall to pick up a replacement lipstick for me at MAC. Saw more friends (Angel and @EVil2uCe/Marc'us). Meghan was in love with the place. This was the first time she went without a stroller. She had so much fun wanting things. I took her to Cartier because my friend Jon works there (he wasn't in) and the salesman asked if she wanted a watch or diamonds. She of course exclaimed "Mommy likes BOTH", which... I've not worn a watch in... well, my friends mom worked for Swatch and gave me one once. I wore that in like 1987?

We went into a couple other stores, Meg got a little "makeover" at the MAC counter in Macy's. Then I bought my obligatory chowder at Legal's. She fell asleep in the car, and it was pouring rain. By the time we got home, it was almost time for Sean to get off the bus, so we just sat at his stop waiting in the car.

Then I went to work, had an awesome night there, and the night ended with Lace and Leather by Brit-Brit.

Most of my music is on my old computer, but I'll be getting that uploaded soon and I'll be rocking out to things I've completely forgotten about ;)

oh oh oh! btw, check out my friend Julie here. She's awesome and amazing!!! We're doing a clothes swap. She sent me one of her awesome tanktops and I'm sending her a couple of mine. Nothing like intrastate clothes sharing! As she said " Padded envelope and 2 stamps and you get a new shirt for a month! YAY!"
and the lemonheads (or is it Evan solo? idk, either way, I'm there) are playing 9/26 at the North Star (27th and Poplar Phila.), which is probably my fav venue in Philly.
