Leather and Lace

This title reflects the song that I opened my day with on Tuesday.

Totally random. I love my iPod. It was lost for a couple days. Of course this is while we were at the beach. I wonder if it was hijacked so we didn't have to listen to my music on the ride up/back.

Whats been going on lately...

Sean started kindergarten last week. I'm going to post a few pictures soon. Probably because I've only posted 2 really not so great ones.

on 8/10, we received a call from this school I was extremely hopeful that Sean would have the chance to attend... I had pretty much lost all hope at this point because we were told in February he was #43 on a waiting list. I was in talks with our school district, their school psychologist, and pretty much everyone and their best friend trying to get him placed correctly.
Oh, have I mentioned I finally got Sean wraparound services? He was diagnosed as on the spectrum with the label PDD-NOS. We were supposed to have a psychiatric evaluation done last Wednesday. That was our week we were supposed to be at the shore. There was seriously *something* that did not want us to go to the shore. First, Patrick got sent jury duty papers. THEN we were told that Sean had this psychiatric eval for last wednesday. but on 8/10, we got the call from this school, "Sean has been accepted! Sorry for such short notice" all the while, I'm thinking "short notice? we've got 3ish weeks" yeah, no. He had 6 days. LOL
After his preschool graduation, Pats mom and I went to Flynn and O'Hara to get his uniforms, and then Target for all his school supplies.
I'd never done uniforms before. WOW! Also, Sean didn't do so well. It was kinda crazy at that store, and Sean was very insistent on watching the embroidery machine. He would not try on the clothes, when we checked out, people were like "Sean, you're famous. we all know your name" because I was running around after him, wearing my 4 inch heels from the graduation (i had forgotten my trainers in my moms car). Thank goodness I know how to run in heels? i guess. haha we finally got him fitted.
Meghan had her "graduation", I put this in quotations because she didn't actually graduate, she's in a new classroom though. Thats exciting. I know she's going to miss Miss Debbie, she's been talking about her nonstop on her summer vacation haha
Anyway, so Sean started school on the 16th, and we had a stay-cation. Over the weekend, we went to OCNJ with Pats family.

I mentioned that Sean was SUPPOSED to have his psychiatric eval on wednesday the 18th. We'd been waiting for this appointment for 8 months. Not exaggerating even a little bit. Tuesday at around 5, we get a call "Um Mrs Ritter? The doctor is sick and we're going to have to reschedule." Theres no other word to use than pissed at this situation. Of course, I was nice. But I had no words to say about this. So, we hung up with the thought that we'd get a phone call by Friday. Nope. I did, however, get a call a couple days ago with a "tentative" date of sometime in October.
Once again, I'm angry.
I talked to his school psychologist (we've actually had 2 meetings about his IEP and such since he's started, not to mention he has his IFSP next thursday) and she said to suggest taking times out side of the regular office hours.... So I took that idea and ran. Called his coordinator and said "Um, I'm not really concerned about the doctors lunch time, I'm concerned that the doctor canceled on us and Sean was automatically put at the back of the line, and what I feel, thrown under the bus again." 2 hours later, I receive a phonecall saying, "Sean can be seen next thursday at noon."

HOORAY!!!

ok, thats it for right now, Meghan still doesn't have school, so she's home to hug. I'm going to do that :)
Maybe a post when she goes down for a nap (20 minutes?) lol Tuesday was a crazy day, and it deserves a post.
